The Ministry of Environment is the lead ministry for planning,
implementing and monitoring communication interventions relating to
Hygiene and Water, Environment & Sanitation. An Emergency Hygiene
and WES Communication Unit has been set up within the Ministry of
Environment (Ozone Cell), where an Emergency Hygiene and WES
Communication Committee has been formulated and a Focal Point
designated to facilitate coordination.

Emergency Health Education and Communication Center
The Ministry of Health is the lead agency for planning, implementing
and monitoring health education in the affected districts. The
Emergency Health Education and Communication Center is the focal point
for coordinating the health education and communication response to the
earthquake.
